How to Make a Slideshow Work Without Internet Access

An offline slideshow needs all media available locally, not just a project that refers to cloud files. Test with the connection disabled.

A practical way to begin

  1. Download the original images, clips and permitted audio used in the project.

  2. Export a finished video or a self-contained presentation format supported by the playback device.

  3. Copy it to the device and a separate backup location.

  4. Disconnect from the internet and play the complete file, including any opening or closing slides.

For example

A project may open correctly while its linked images remain online. A finished export should be tested independently of the editing application.

What to avoid

Avoid relying on thumbnails or cloud placeholders as proof that the files are downloaded. Confirm full playback without a network connection.

Should I keep the original material?

Yes. Keep an untouched source and work with copies. A finished album, transcript or edited video serves a different purpose from the original material. Check that your saved copies open, and keep important context such as names and dates alongside them.
